The Kansas City Plogtober Cleanup is a great way to get outdoors after a long quarantine and get some exercise, while engaging in a socially responsible activity that beautifies the streamside trails in your community!

 

Trash that ends up on the ground (including discarded PPE from the pandemic) ends up in our water systems– polluting ecosystems and killing vital organisms!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our day of service this last Sunday (10/17)! There’s still more to clean up around area watersheds, so we’re keeping registration open for Virtual Plogging. Take precautions when cleaning up the great outdoors! In Missouri and Kansas, poisonous plants like Poison Ivy (below) can cause a harmful reaction when touched with bare skin. Use a grabber, poker or anything else to remove litter lodged among these kinds of plants.
